Do not unscrew the tip while hot. Metal becomes brittle in high heat. Wait for tip to cool down, unscrew the old tip by twisting counter clockwise and replace it with the new tip. Tighten until the new tip base is flush.
After each use, place the welder on the included stand and wait for it to cool. Once cool, clean off any excess plastic on welder and tip with included wire brush, then wipe down with a clean cloth.

Haven't used it yet don't know.
I had a blowout on my RV and it busted off the whole front of my grey water tank. I was looking at $200+ for a new one plus a nightmare of installation. As a last resort I tried this first. Im so glad I did!! I welded a piece of 4" PVC to the broken end of my grey water tank so I could mount a new waste valve. The strength is like brand new. I actually tried to break it loose when I was done and it didnt budge. This isnt even what it was designed for and it worked flawlessly. Absolutely impressed. If you are thinking about purchasing this... DO NOT HESITATE!!
I repaired a kayak and a plastic seat with this kit. Give the iron time to heat up before starting and it works well. The kit more than paid for itself with the kayak repair.
I had an issue with the iron after my 2 projects so the seller replaced my kit with a new kit free of charge. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
This is a great concept and can save you money. The only catch is it requires a light touch. It is very easy to burn a hole in the work. Find some waste plastic to get the feel of using the device.
I repaired a cracked bumper cover from the back side without removing it from the car. It worked out good and the crack is barely noticeable. A professional repair at a shop could have cost $1,000 and would have sidelined the car for several days.
